Looking at getting a sump guard after easily removing the light grey plastic bit last weekend.

Question is LR have a pre 2014 model VPLAP00094 and a 2014+ model VPLAP00189 (both are non-winch versions). From what I can tell the only difference is the earlier one is fitted using 2 M10x35mm and 2 M10x45mm where as the later one uses 4 M10x45mm instead. Is there any other differences?

Most other suppliers seem to have only a D4 guard e.g. Britpart DA7535, and others like GOE specify 2010-2013.

So besides a genuine sump guard what will fit a MY15 D4 without having to trim anything?

hey there Bushie, ive got a Genuine LR Alloy Front guard and i didnt have to trim anything at all. Simply remove the plastic panel, the two - LHS and RHS front air splitters and install ! the instructions did illustrate to throw the splitters in the bin but i 'trimmed' them up and re-installed them..

my car is a DEC 13 build and not sure if the MY14 build is much different

I know, I know but I've run out of fresh coffee beans for the espresso machine and the cold drip takes 6 hours for a brew.

That light grey plastic bit on the bottom of the front skirt sure didn't like the 4th of the deep puddles, picked it up on the way home. No damage just pulled straight off with the pressure of the water.

Muskie, that's my problem, I don't think they are different except for bolt lengths.
