It says Discovery from 2002 on box , but it also does Discovery 2 1999 on
Defender should be TD5 on inc Puma. (1997 is incorrect on box as that would be 300 Tdi)

As advertised it is a reader and resetter not a programmer.
To make alterations to vehicle features you need to spend the money on a Nanocom or a Hawkeye.

Hi Andy, a code reader is a good companion to have with you when traveling. Today's Land rovers have a lot of electronic components /computers like sensors for air, fuel, temps, braking, transmission, engine management.
When something fails it can leave you stranded not knowing what might be the cause . The average bush mechanic has no idea on the new systems involve.
Having a code reader can ASSIST you in fault tracing, it will allow you to search and eliminate possible causes. Where as the guessing game means unnecessary expensive parts can be thrown at the vehicle in the hope that it'll fix it.
Readers are by all means not the be all and end all, but are a tool to help assist you.
Regards,
Mario
