Just curious, but what made the "Xtreme" Td5 Defenders "Xtreme"?
What were/are the differences?
Anything considerable?

Cheers,

Traction control and ABS springs to mind as the big differences, other than that was just cosmetic IIRC although also stuff like AC, tow pack standard, leccy front windows. :)

From memory only the first td5 fenders were non extreme models (1999) and the rest were extremes ie only one model.

The extreme had TC/ABS AC power front wintodws ,tow pack heavy duty springs/shocks bar work and allys

it was the option up pack for the standard defender for a couple of years, it then became the standard for the 90/110s but you could order the base spec if you wanted to.

the 130s remained in standard trim but could be had with most of the options of the extreme but there was a period where th ABS/TC wasnt available for the 130. Ive seen td5 130's with ABS/TC but im not sure what trim level they were at or if it wasnt an owner retrofit/special order.

First xtremes came out in 1999
With ABS, Traction control Air conditioning and Bull Bar
Metallic paint and Mag wheels
The first 40 or 50 were a limited run to test the market
