Well, show us your hobby!
What do you get up to when you are not tending to your Landy?
Maybe you fight bulls in far lands...
...Or chase storms across the tropics.
Perhaps you just like long walks, simply holding hands.
Do you collect stamps? Saws? Spark plugs?
Or bugs, mugs, or just do drugs :o
Maybe your pet ostrich, Oscar, enjoys oiling orange owls...or your horse Harold eats hay alongside a hen in a hat...
Those silly things that people do, are often of interest to others...
so post it up, and show your stuff, after all you're amongst your bothers.

My Fairlady
One dear hobby of mine is my other car.
She is a 1991 Nissan 300zx, Twin turbo. Also known as a Fairlady Z.

The Twin Turbo 3L, DOHC V6 was a great engine back in its day, the pinnacle of performance in the Nissan stable.
The Iconic Z Car, which began with the Datsun 240Z back in the late 60's, evolved in the later models, reaching what I consider to be the model's pinnacle with the Z32- produced from 1989 to 2000. The Z32 is a powerful and sleek grand tourer which some referred to as the Japanese Ferrarri. In my opinion, it's an aged vehicle, but has done so gracefully- now 24 years old, it still holds its own against other vehicles on the road, and still maintains a heritage which I appreciate in all cars I own (including the defender).
My particular vehicle has been modified, with most of the mechanical and electrical modifications being undertaken by myself.
The engine was built for 300kW (400HP) at the wheels, which is easily produced by this engine on a modest 16psi boost.
It's currently in a state of development in which I'm tweaking the injectors / fuel delivery system and ECU to reach this engine's full potential.
I keep it registered, and maintain it to it's current level (which is neat, but not immaculate). I believe the value one gets from anything is gained through using it- having a vehicle parked in the living room on display is a waste of a vehicle in my opinion.
I drive it occasionally, perhaps a few times a month, and enjoy stretching its legs on the open roads in the New England region. As a grand tourer, it will easily maintain high speeds in relative comfort, with plenty of reserve power if needed.
I enjoy the occasional drag race, often an 1/8 mile race on the local track. I have attended WSID at Eastern Creek, and look forward to going back again some time. I am looking to participate in some local autocross events which will test the limit of driver and vehicle, and be a bucketload of fun as well.

Well now is the time!
They're not getting any more expensive... the reason I still have mine is that it's not worth selling. The import market really took its toll on these vehicles- a non-turbo was selling for $67K new back in the early 90's (a base model commodore was selling for $20K). Now they are predominantly selling in the sub $10K mark. Too much supply not enough demand.
Another hobby of mine is leatherwork. I'm just starting out, but made a few things that was part of the kit.

Collecting watches, if I could work out how to post up, the FAQ instructions don't seem to work. Hang on I'll use photobucket.
It started with a trench watch my Grandfather had, I was given it for my 21st some 18 years ago. It features some beautiful engraving of his initials, has a leather trench strap. Each year I treat myself with a watch with my work bonus.
First year was an Omega Seamaster Pro planet ocean 600m automatic, then a Bremont Martin Baker 2 automatic, this year unsure (buying a new 110 - so might be pushing my luck with the wife on that one) maybe a Bell & Ross.
Also collect music and movies (probably a bit passe in this day of torrents - but I like cover art and a tangible thing).

Lovely watch!
I'd like to see your watch collection. I'm a big fan of good quality watches. I think every man should have at least one good watch. And a decent pair of shoes lol.
