From the English D4 site
Tow electrics charger adapter - CTEK/Accumate/Optimate etc - DISCO3.CO.UK - Shop (http://www.disco4.com/shop/tow-electrics-charger-adapter-ctek-accumate-optimate-etc-p45.html)
Do the Aussie spec D4s have plugs that will do this. I am electrically ignorant!

Yep, I made one using instructions from another post in the Disco3.co.uk sites.
Works great.
Up to you which way you want to go, build yourself or buy premade.

+1.
I bought one of the connections from that site and use it via the trailer plug to keep the battery charged as I do a lot of very short trips. Use it about once a month as a maintenance routine. Works fine.

7 pin 12S is the one you want. That's the white trailer plug.

Hi Nicky, just e-mail Martin on the Disco3 site and he will know it's the WHITE plug version you are after.

I got one too for monthly maintenance. Had a bit of a scare camping when my DBS isolated on the first night of a camping trip after a four hour drive. I must have had very low voltage when I set off. Regular top ups are necessary, even with a DBS and the ctek chargers work best when hooked up for a long time, charging through the trailer plug allows you to lock the car, you even lock the charger in the car too, rather than bonnet up and that makes you feel beeper leaving the charger on for a longer time.

Make sure that you select the correct battery charger connection. If you have something different he will make one up for you to suit for an added cost. I had an old charger with alligator clips and e-mailed him and he was very helpful. In the end I bought a modern CTEK 5 amp charger so the standard connection was suitable.
