Hi Guys

Finally forward progress :) A year since the 80" landed on my drive.

Started with just a "dumb iron" rusted through, and the battery carrier :) That was good, easy!

Found the firewall RH sponson corroded out the bottom pretty late in piece. Was a "not happy Jan" moment. On removal the chassis beam behind was rotten as well. This is the result of the sponson not being welded all around and a "wee" gap. Was "oh well!"

Chassis stripped, repaired, grit blasted zinc primed and powder coated.

Something good to build on :)

Powder coat (and process to it) took priority over "purist". No Dark Bronze Green in powder coat blocks. The Brunswick green powder coat is pretty close, being the darkest powder coat available and nearly there with a swatch over what was good existing paint on the chassis.

Rear Axle and a Firewall next.

Looks great, will be my first job in the restore of my S1. The firewall will be my most difficult to deal with in the restore due heavy corrosion.
Planning to start when I have done the house move and to a larger shed.:D:D
