Ok so I went to drive the Landy today, and the clutch pedal has no resistance. So clutch doesn't work. The clutch was fine when I parked her up middle of the week. Should i get the AA to drop it off to my mechanic? Any ideas.

I had the same response when my slave cylinder failed, new slave cost me about $40 but was a real pain to put in, a pressure clutch hose also blew after that which gave a similar response, I would fill up your resoirvour get some on the peddle with you under the car with a torch to see if there is a leak in the hoses or possibly a leak in the slave gaskets

As they said slave cyc.
Hard to tell just by looking but my guess would be if you undid the wading bung on the bottom of the bell housing fluid will dribble out.
Watch a YouTube vid or 2 before jumping in, I can't remember what but something is pretty important...
Sorry I couldn't be anymore help.

clutch pushrod retaining clip and locating the pushrod is what you're worried about on a slave cylinder replacement

Have removed the old cylinder, it certainly looked past it's best. Interestingly there was no dust cover on it. Have a replacement and will try to fit it this weekend, if the rain stays away !
Cheers for all your comments.
