Sorry got my 8 and 6 mixed up, have corrected the original post. Ideally it should all be B & S 6 AWG 6 (smaller is bigger in awg)

Caravan has 3 Lead AGMs

I dont think voltage drop is caused by alternator, its mainly the length and gauge of wire and current drawn.

Ive tried with all parts of the charging loom removed and it still does it.

One possibility ive thought of is that theres something wrong inthe alternator causing it to momentarily short or cut out ?

Ive monitored the reported current output, and had the errors come up both during high current and low.

I used 25mm square cable and 35mm square cable between the battery and inverter.

I got a clamp meter, and the app seems to be reporting correct, the 'interesting' thing is though that most of the current seems to be going to the car than the battery.

on the +ve lead that goes from battery to fuse box its pulling like 130amps when the car is first running and the alternator lead is 140-150 so 10-20 going into battery

Something is not quite right there.

Your vehicle electrics will draw at max, around 40 amps, so the setup needs to be checked.

I have monitored up to 100 amps going into my batteries with the 140 amp alternator in my old L322.

So again, as a D4 can have up to a 220 amp alternator, you should be seeing much higher currents going into your batteries.
