Chain lube.

Almost finished the can of chain wax i bought must be 10 years ago, whats a good lube to use these days ?

I just use any brand that the local motor bike shop sells.

I know it's a bit late but,

I have found that the ceramic chain oil is ok, just messy as it is white and shows up anywhere it flings to, very noticably. It also attracted a lot of crud to the chain

Motul non- fling has proved to be good, just a pain oiling the chain all the time.

One thing that I did get a while back was an attachment for the little plastic tube that sprays both sides of the chain at once. I got it off ebay($5, overpriced for what it is, but bloody handy).

Suzuki recommends heavy(90w) oil. There is a bit of an issue with oil fling but it works so much better than the pressure pack stuff. The rear will just about freewheel on the stand once the chain has been oiled. I have been using Penrite 75w-90. It works really well, you just need to wipe the chain down well after oiling.

Also, I have installed and am using a Motobriiz wind oiler, it uses the 75w90. Still in the testing phase at the moment but it uses air pressure to operate the oiling system for the chain. I will give an update in 6 months or so about how it is going. At the time, it was an Ebay special too good not to at least give a try.

Lucas chain lube is a very viscous oil with Mos2.
The chain on my Honda 900 Hornet had 42KK on it when I sold it with minimal wear, with cleaning down each Saturday and re oiling.

I had been using Rock Oil Chain Wax for years. I just bought some Yamaha branded Synthetic lube which flings a bit more than the Rock Oil but seems ok.
