Hi Kai,
discowhite made some for his Disco (4dr):
http://www.aulro.com/modules.php?name=Foru...t=sliders#86450 (http://www.aulro.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&p=86450&highlight=sliders#86450)
The fixings would be similar in principle to the RR
You could PM him if he doesn't pickup this thread. style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif

Hey Kai,
I reckon 6mm WT might be a lil too heavy duty! How about 3mm?

I think 3mm would be fine, especially being box.
I used 4mm just for the sake of it as it was lying around.

i think i used 4mm box, dont use anything lighter.
it is welded to 75x100x5 angle and the tube is heavy wall 28nb pipe
make sure you prep all the areas that you weld first, get a good
weld in there and they will be a stronger than anything on the market.
things to note, the bottom door line in a disco isnt straight its curved.
i cut and shut the box to suit the door line.
and there is a bump you need to go around, at the b pillar.

nice job
But i am not sure if i can fix them the same Way on the 79 RR
if i remove the plastic strip under the door there is a 45mm recess and then a 50mm drop wonder iv that section is strong enough to hold the car?
must have a better look under the car tomorrow
thanks so far for your help
