A recent thread looking for a block to match a vehicle lead me to write down some of the blocks I have stored away.
May help someones restoration.

I have 4710 9713 in my 1950 model project which is close to yours....

Never seen engine numbers written on in texta before, they're usually stamped into the metal :wasntme:

When was the last 4 cyl I.O.E. engine made?
I had not realised they went as long as 1961.

Just to clarify, these are not for sale but if some one has a vehicle they are restoring and the records prove that one of these blocks belong to it then we will do our best to reunite them:)

What book is this please? I've seen all sorts of lists but never a list with Engine numbers?

I use " Original Land Rover" by James Taylor for Series one info.
It lists chassis and engine numbers for each year.
It does not tell you which engine belongs to which vehicle though.
Some members on here have access to the dealers records that have that info.
