Am wishing to put a couple of cables through the firewall.
1) uhf lead
2) engine temp gauge cable.

Which side would be the better, drivers or passenger side.
Any other helpful hints greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Not sure, but if it helps I bought a couple of various sized cable glands from Bunnings for under $2 each. Make a nice smooth point to pull cables through once you've drilled a hole in the firewall (if required).

I ran the antenna lead for my UHF up the passenger side, then in through the firewall behind the battery. You will need to prop the bonnet right up and remove the battery, but once you do that, it's pretty easy. I used an existing rubber boot that had a bunch of wire in it - I just punched a small hole through the rubber lip above where the existing cables ran with a Phillips head screwdriver. This ensure no rubbing of the cable, and stays dust tight. On the inside, remove the glovebox (I think that was all) to retrieve the cable inside the cabin area.

As above, L/H side, large flexible gromet will see a couple extra cables squeezed thru
