station wagon rear window demister

does anyone have a wiring diagram for the rear door demister as fitted to station wagon doors?
or have an operating demister which works?
I have a demister fitted to the rear door, but no wiring to it and would like to make it work, but not game to connect 12 volts directly to it as I may blow it up, I presume there is a resistor in the system.

If you run 12volts through the 10 amp scale on your meter and use alligator clip probes, you will be able to see how much current it draws on the meter and you should be able to disconnect it before it grenades if there is a problem, I fitted one many years ago to a Torana
And there was no resistor in the circuit. Maybe meter out the heater first on ohms, and calculate how much current it should draw before wiring it up through the meter.

Thanks for that, I will take some resistance measurement first, obviously it need s some resistance to warm the window but there must be a critical number before it burns out....

I was not aware that the demister was ever an option on the 2a, but I assume it is the same as the ones on the 110 - operates direct on 12v, same as every other one I have ever seen.
