I have a 24 volt ac christmas decoration that the wall wart has died.
It has on it "Output 24V Max 10VA"
What does 10VA mean? I rang Jaycar and they did not have one.
There are plenty on ebay but they just list volts and amps, not VA.

Hi,
If 10 = 24 x A
then A = 10/24
so it will be less than 1/2 an Amp, or 500mA.

It's just another way of expressing power i.e. Watts.
Watts and VA are similar but with AC the values are slightly different.
Here's a 20VA unit:

Thanks guys.
So Mick, in the link you posted it says 20 VA .8amps
So would that mean mine being 10 VA be .4 amps?

Yep.
It's also AC, so not a DC plug pack. A DC plug pack may work.
I'd get that 20VA unit and wire it up.

Thanks Mick. I purchased two of these, being so cheap I got a spare.
This should do the job shouldn't it?
