What tools do I need to remove the Puma transfer box oil filler plug. There's not much room in there and I have tried with several different tools but cant get anything to fit properly to get enough leverage to crack it.
The oil has been been changed before but by LR mechanic and I did not see him do it.

For reasons I have never understood, the gearbox filler is a torx fitting. Transfer case and both diffs are 1/2 inch square socket.

Same as on a 300tdi.

Yep just a 1/2" drive ratchet with no socket. If you have trouble getting in to the plug with a ratchet, an extension bar with a rounded end, or with a uni joint, will allow you to have the ratchet out past the brake drum.

There is less room to get to the puma one as easily as on the 300tdi one as the puma park brake cable is harder to push out of the way to get the 1/2" Drive into it. Use a 6" wobble extension it will fit better.

Remove the cubbybox, then the inspection plate between the front seats. You might have better luck accessing it this way. I used to fill the gearbox/transfer box with a tube and good old gravity this way.

Thanks everyone. I will just persist a bit more.
