Just checking before ordering.
Is the series 3, ( 10 spline ) Hub socket size 52mm.
Local repco said they would look after me, but need to order that size in.
Thanks

As they say, search is your friend.
See http://www.aulro.com/afvb/tool-time/30185-hub-nut-spanner.html
You don't need a real socket. A tube spanner will do, e.g., Land Rover HUB NUT Spanner HUB NUT Tool | eBay (http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/like/182154883777?lpid=107&chn=ps)
I was about to write they are much cheaper but I just had a look on eBay and I'm not so sure now!

Thanks Ron,
$20 to $30, tube spanner, will end up cheaper at my local repco, 1/2 inch drive socket.
Its a surprise the cost, when someone you know, looks after you !!!!
52mm then.

52mm will do, if you're ordering parts from the UK they are quite cheap.

I think the nut is 1 1/4" Whitworth (1 3/8" BSF). A discussion on the forum years ago mentioned a box spanner for an immersion heater in a hot water tank being a similar size (may have been NZ rather than Australia though).
