We are moving house next week, and my 110 is a bit of a mess so I got in to clean it out, and fix a few minor things while I was at it.
Decided to check out the rust on the driver side firewall - quite bad on the inside where it bends to accomdate the pedal box. Got at it with a screwdriver to clean it up before spraying it with a rust converter and now I have a lovely hole directly to the engine bay :censored:
Then I decided to check out the cause of my coolant leak on the passenger side, and also look at the oil leak from the oil return pipe off the turbo.
Oil return pipe first and what happened? I tightened the bolt 2 clicks on the ratchet and off the head came!! Little to no effort required either so guessing the bolt was on the way out and not enough tension to keep the seal. So off the turbo will have to come to get the end of the bolt out.
The only good news is the welch plug under the exhaust manifold is where the coolant leak is coming from - and I have an exhaust leak on cylinder number 5 so it will all have to come off anyway.
I am thinking I should just stay away from the thing!
