D3/4 owners who tow big vans seem to have important reasons to check their weight.
For Defender owners it is more likely to be just idle curiosity.
Reading the owner's handbook led me to believe that my cab/chassis with the 350kg camper attached might not be much heavier than a wagon with all that extra glass and seats.
My Defender with an alloy tray, about 25 litres of fuel and a 65kg driver tipped the scales yesterday at 2040kg.
With the Trayon on board it should be close to 2400kg.
Has anyone weighed an empty 110 lately?

Not recently, but I posted this a couple of years ago 300Tdi

I got my defender weighed today at work as we had a set of truck scales available (same as those the mermaids use accurate to +/- 10kg)

I've got ARB Deluxe Bar with warn 8000lb high mount, driving lights, Kaymar rear wheel carrier, dual optimas, twine shower, toolbox, bluetongue compressor, plywood drawer in the rear and the R&R Beadbreaker was on board with 3/4 tank fuel.

Weights went as follows:-

Front right 570kg
Front left 590kg
Rear right 510kg
Rear left 550kg

The GVM of the vehicle is 3050 so I've got around 830kg to play with but the front axle loading is 1200kg. Our engineer said the rough rule of thumb would be that 30% of any extra load would be carried by the front axle with the remaining 70% on the rear.
So all up weight was 2220kg

We have very accurate weighbridge at work.

my car; 2 full fuel tanks 120 l, swing out wheel carrier, winch & home made winchbar, a few spares and recovery gear under the rear floor, tow bar.
me 85 kgs,

all up 2300 kgs.

I figure in touring mode another 150 kgs of passengers, + 400 kgs of stuff would top it off, at 2850 kgs.

cheers simmo

My 90 weighed in at 1960kg stock with full fuel tank and driver. Bar, wheel carrier, drawers, water tank and cages have put it up to 2200kg

see if they can give you a front and rear axel weight. Just so happened I flunked a balanced max F and R axel weight right on GVM. But that's a lot of family, 215 in fuel, 180t water, 2 rimmed spares and enough food and kit for 2 weeks remote. Good idea to gain an un modded weight.

It's the weight bridge at work no problems with front and rear.....it would be good if I could do each wheel but damn guard rails are in the way.

Feather weights! My D130 in everyday driving around weight is 2800kgs. The weight of a steel tray and the HD bits bolted on quickly adds up. Add a good 400kg in touring mode with extra spare, 60ltr water, 60ltr spare fuel, camping equip, spares etc.

My 130 comes in at about 2360 tare. The steel tray is pretty heavy though. The brochure for a 130 crew cab chassis says tare is 1893 with no tray.

I weighed mine a few months ago now.

So 3050 all up, that's with my wife and I in it.
