Hi all, i hope someone here can give me some clues on where to look at fixing this fault i have . The car is a 2002 TD5 Manual, and while i was towing my box trailer all of a sudden the dash lights just disappeared . Along with the dash lights was the rear right tail light . I have checked every fuse and bulb but haven't found a failed one yet .
Has anyone else experienced this before?
Bill.

Hi, double check(or better replace with new to be 100%) fuse F33 interior fusebox... if that's good the problem might be complicated

Ok ! I finally got around to checking the #33 fuse and its fine . I put a new one in but to no avail.... I have checked the wiring in the rear and can't find a thing . Any ideas ? Thanks.

Do you have RAVE? cos i can tell you where to measure if you are up to do that but the connector views from the electrical library are compulsory for that...BTW, the front RH side light is working?

Also check fuse 9, 30 amps in the under bonnet fuse box. When I lost my dash lights this one had blown and I eventually traced my problems to a dicky indicator stalk.

On pre-facelift modells F9 is for the fuel burning heater and trailer permannent live... IMO it can't affect the dash lights at all, not even removed ...provided the diagram is not wrong

Same for the face lift d2a here. Yes it isn't logical but I found the tip in the good oil part of the forum and it along with replacing the indicator stalk fixed the problems or me. Perhaps in my case the dodgy indicator stalk blew the 30 amp fuse. I had been doing some towing, but not at the time I lost my dash lights.

You'll have to lift the engine bay fusebox and check if there is output on the red.orange wire from pin 1 of C0586(RAVE-Electrical library-Connector views) cos at that point it seems that there is a problem at that connector or within the fusebox...anyway it's on that path
