I've lost a spring inside my horn button. Don't know what it looks like, or even exactly where it goes. I don't want to replace the whole switch. I do have the missing plastic cap/end

The Spring is 24mm long and 12mm in diameter.
In the plastic end cap is a brass/copper contact that is pushed over the White center piece. The Spring must be of a larger diameter than the contact....
If you have a look in the end cap there are four raised bits (on the + section in there).
The Spring sits on them, NOT in the recessed bits next to the center contact.

Regards,
Mike.

Spring diameter...=12mm.

The Spring must sit on the outer raised bits of the + section inside the hole.

Sorry about the multiple posts, but my iPad doesn't let me post multiple images in the one post...
Not sure why.

Mike.

That's exactly the advice I needed.

As it happens, the closest spring that I had to hand was 10mm dia. I used a little bit of unshrunk heat shrink to stop the spring shorting the contacts and seem to be back in business
