and the difference is....

cd version has 35:1 jpeg compression

dvd version has 4:1 jpeg compression

dvd version has considerably much higher definition of exactly the same maps.

I went through this whole process just before Chrismas. I wanted to download files from the site but at 2.5 mb per map and the you have 13 to 15 maps per section and 5 sections = 513 maps. It was going to be download havoc 8O 8O

I believe then you have to join these maps together to run in Oziexplorer to keep the whole process together.

There is a whole discussion in 'General Chat' about it...as the maps are free so why not illegally copy a set.

BUT...I took Inc's advice and said 'Bugger it....just buy the DVD set'

It is the best advice I have had for sometime https://www.aulro.com/afvb/ https://www.aulro.com/afvb/

The whole Oziexplorer/Natmaps/GPS works a treat and I am wrapped https://www.aulro.com/afvb/ https://www.aulro.com/afvb/ https://www.aulro.com/afvb/

Cheers,
