well, actually I need 16:angel::D
This QNAP (TS 439 Pro II) I happened across has empty HDD trays, unbelievable huh.

The pic shows the normal PC screw first and third and the countersunk screw second and forth,,
BUT!
the head of the countersunk shown here is too WIDE!
When bolted up it sits proud of the tray and stops insertion into the machine.
The one in the tray was just luck!

Anyone have any stored away?

...

Either 2.5's or 3.5's.
Looks like Pedro is using 3.5's.

Sorry Pedro, I have none(or maybe one single solitary screw.
They just use any normal countersunk HDD screw. I think they should be M3 x 4mm.
They aren't any special or particular type
(unlike this annoying USB enclosure I have that's about to get chucked).

EDIT: ps. I just bought a pack of 25(I need some too) off ebay for $2. In my search, I found none available locally in Aus, so just went with the cheapest from China(I'm in no rush).
Just do a search(on ebay) for "countersunk hard drive screw" and you'll get a million and two hits, and they all generally say hard drive caddy screw(which is what you want).

yes Inc,, the screws holding the side brackets are the correct thread,, but just not enough of it-- something strips before it gets anywhere near tight--
I can buy them from QNAP,,
bag of 96 for $32 plus freight--:rolleyes:
