Okbrains trust question for you.

Lasttwo beach trips I have had several HDC transmission faults kick in. Vehiclegoes into limp mode and lowers. Stop.
Turnoff and lock unlock 3 times clears it.

Sandmode on, DSC OFF. does it in either high or low range.
Interestinglyif I leave DSC on it does not present. Or doesn't yesterday.

Codesdon't reveal anything of interest.

Brakeswitch??
Transmissiongetting hot?

Wasn'tpushing that hard. About 2000 RPM. High range to start with in 2ndthen went to low range and auto.
Samefault presented.
thanks in advance.

For under $40 I replaced the brake switch and brake globes and problem went away (so far). It's starts at HDC and cascades to Transmission then Suspension Lowering.

Thanks pretty much what I thought. I'm getting new brake light switch on Friday.
Just replaced twice RHS brake light. I normally run the Phillips globe but could only get SCA which are rubbish. Will call into Repco and grab some Philips ones.

Peter.
A W4 member reported the other week he had issues with cruise not working.Replaced a faulty brake light with a non genuine but reasonable quality globe, still no cruise.Fitted a genuine globe and it fixed the problem.
Was a D3.

all good, got onto a contact LR parts up here and he is checking with the workshop boys. He did say they have the OEM LR globes but are expensive.
No kidding sherlock hahaha :D
I was reading in some threads on other forums that the LR globes are a higher spec filliment which maybe is why they upset the canbus when you put lower spec globes in or they fail.
Just summising so don't shoot me. :nazilock:

Put LED globes in my 2005 SE years ago. Love them. Well worth considering.

Did the same. I explained the temprementality of brake lights on Discos to my local automotive parts store and they were prepared to let me return the LED globes they sold me if they played up. Two years later and still no problems. :BigThumb: :BigThumb:

Got some goodies for the D3 recently. 2 cyclinder compressor for after beach work.
LLAMS and a steel compressor guard.
Next will be a megapulse unit for the battery and a CTEK charger. Will fit some HD cable in a conduit to the rear and install an anderson plug for ease of use.
Bluetooth IID gap tool . . . .
The list goes on.
