G'day Guys,

Well as some of you already know I have had a long term project of building a Defender 100".

This project came about as a dream of many years to build in my eyes was the ultimate Land Rover Defender.

The original plan was unleashed a couple of years ago when I started with a 1985 Range Rover and a mix of early 110 and Series Body panels as were most great Hybrid builds.

However, after many months of hard work on the chassis I was not happy with what I had before me. What I wanted was a Defender 100" and not a Land Rover Hybrid - some may argue these are the same thing!!!

So a plan was hatched to sell the Rangie to a mate who wanted to build a Series 1 Hybrid and buy a D110 chassis.

I hope to update you all on the project as and when anything is done - but be aware this is a long term project and is currently on the back burner since my injury, but in my absence I have had some work done in preparation of returning to full health ASAP!!!

Hope you like what I am doing https://www.aulro.com/afvb/

G'day, I met a fellow at Blinman 2 years ago who has already done this type of conversion, he is a member of the Sth Oz Landrover Register, it is awesome vehicle I've seen it in operation on their club property in Blinman. Iv'e also seen a couple (a few years ago) cruising around Sydney, they were fitted with 5lt Commodore engines and they were all painted up in cam colours they looked neat too, anyway cheers and good luck with it, Dennis

Good luck with it Mark ... if your Rangie is anything to go by the 100" will be a winner. Give me a shout if you ever need a hand ...

yep thought of that, but as I want to have good range (being a V8 its not easy) and didnt want to give up the load area.

The test point was when I got my shortend tub back - wanted to make sure it looked balanced https://www.aulro.com/afvb/
