Hello folks,

I currently have the genuine LR driving lights on my D3 which are rubbish and I am wanting to fit Fyrlyt nemesis 8000 to it.

The current setup is bolted to a steel flange then extends down through the top of the plastic bar and onto a crossmember. Very rigid and secure.

The top of this flange is about 2" lower than the top of the plastic bar.

I am thinking of getting some brackets made up that can be bolted to the existing flange and will extend up enough to provide adequate clearance for mounting the lights. The part would have a suitable tounge welded to it.

Anybody know a fabrication shop that can do this sort of work? Bit of maching to make the part for the top of the flange I would think.

cheers
P

If Aaron40 doesn't see this thread, send him a PM.He has adjustable stays on Fyrlytes, also has no bar.The actual bracket came from a WA auto electrician I believe.

Try Tim at Autospark in Osborne Park. He has a number of "custom brackets" for Discos and has been helping me with cable and brackets for my 12 pin / Anderson plug and Tow Pro installations.

They list them on eBay for $395. That's a tad too much imo.

I had a look at the fleabay listing, it's for a D4 only. I have contemplated getting something made up in similar fashion, just need to find a suitable fabrication shop.

$395 is probably reasonable.

thanks
