Recently picked up some nice Disco 1 Freestyle Alloys, to fit to my 81 2 Door. Went to fit, fronts went on no problems but when I went to fit the rears they would not fit over hubs? Tried swapping wheels around no difference. Measured across centre and found rear hubs to be about 1-2mm wider?? Stopping wheels from sitting flush on the hub. Had to grind down inside of wheels a little till they slipped on. Have had car for 28 years and don't remember ever changing hubs. Any ideas on why they could be different.

Yep , had to grind my rrc flanges a little to fit d1 steel rims.
Its more the inconsistent casting than anything else.

Thanks will revisit to see if it was flanges after all.Even though wheels were sticking as they got closer to flat where they seat on hub.

You guys were right it was the flanges, ground them down a little~ level with hub, and wheels slip off and on easily, wasn't 100% happy with previous solution. Keep going back into shed to look at it, looks a treat!
Thanks again Joe
