After fitting the Su carby and sorted the brakes, ran the Green Machine, down the road.
It ran quite well, but did appear a bit rough, so back, adjust the SU and back out.
With it still a bit ordinary, started to look at things.
I discovered the Vacuum Advance is not working. Checked the S2 dissy and its the same. I can blow and suck air through the hose.
Wondering if this was normal, pulled the dissy from Gilberts motor, and sucking moved the auto advance.
Any one have a good one ( advance unit ) or do I just get a new one and fit it. Best place to get one ?

Quick update on the Green Machine.
Dissy all working as it should. Still appeared to be a miss.
Re did timing and adjusted SU settings.
not much different. Then pulling off plug leads, discovered no 3 seems to be a problem. Seemed to run better with plug lead touching plug, not clipped in but arcing. lead change did nothing, as a dissy cap change.
Yes been down this road with the S11A.
Then swapped 3 and 4 plugs over, and the problem moved to 4.
Ended up being a faulty new plug.
New spare in and spinning the rear wheels in second gear !!!!
previous problem with new point not working, was solved with running a folded piece of 1200 wet and dry through the contacts twice.
