The LT77 was originally a Jaguar Gearbox.
Wisdom prevailed and the R380 was the replacement.
If the LT77 is knackered then consider replacement with the R380.

An R380 can be made a straight swap for an LT77s in a 200tdi disco, but not in a 200tdi Defender.

in diesel terms when the engines changed from the 200TDi to 300TDi.
In Disco terms - they were introduced with the release of the D1 update in May 1994 (build from Jan 94)
