Has anyone fitted late model Defender wheels to a late 80's/early 90's RRC?

Would be interesting to know if there were other options.

Thanks in advance.

AFAIK they are the same 16x7 ET33 as late RRC

Are you looking for a different wheel, or a Defender wheel, or a different size/offset to standard?

I was actually wondering if the Sawtooth design would fit.

I see that there are a lot more options for a defender, but no mention of them fitting a RRC or Disco 1.

I currently have the -25 offset steel rims and were wondering if the defender rims would fit over the standard hub on my 89 RRC.

Bearmach do a Sawtooth design for the RRC in a couple of different sizes.

I have seen them.

They don't list many specs about the wheel. Off set, hub clearance, hub diameter.

I did find the Kahn design wheels and all their Defender wheels have a 114.5mm hub diameter. They also do a 20" wheel, which would be out of control.

My biggest concern is the hub size. The current wheels are an updated 16x8 dynamic wheel, which I understand has the centres for the defender and I have fitted concentric rings so they sit properly on the hub.

Can't remember what size I measured them at to have the rings made.

I currently have a set of hurricanes on my POS and they don't sit on the hub centre. The studs have the right markings for alloy rims.

Standard Rostyles didn't sit on the hub centre either.

I'm not saying the rims you have don't need to.

If you do a bit of a search there is a really good explanation of clamping force with studs and wheel nuts by Dougal from NZ, sadly no longer on this forum.
