Hi,
I have been informed that next month (Oct) that Grays On line will have a number of perenties for sale that have been recently used in film work and that may interest some of you/us. Some have gun turrets etc and lots of bar work but this can be removed to leave some very nice chassis and running gear maybe suitable for converting to whatever you like. I gather that they may not be registerable as bought but would serve as a great start for a project. The team who worked on them has also done stuff for Mad Max etc and are LR experts.

I don't have any more detail than that but have been asked to spread the word so maybe keep an eye out on the auction site.[smilebigeye]

also the link to the trailer that has just been released.

Watch Pacific Rim Uprising's first full trailer - Polygon (https://www.polygon.com/2017/10/6/16435604/pacific-rim-2-uprising-trailer-kaiju-john-boyega-nycc-2017)

I was involved in the building of these vehicles and the filming of the movie, will be plenty of very recognisable locations when released.

Not plywood but aluminium composite panel, will have a bit of an afterlife.

Did the same bloke who designed the Judge Dredd 101 do these as well?.

I doubt it.
The base vehicles were Perentie RFSVs.

No no the same designer, these were designed by Stefan Dechant who also designed "Kong Skull Island"

Movie props. I'd love to buy all four. At least one of them was a RFSV.

There's already a thread going in the MV section.

Ah, I missed the bit about movie props.
I found the thread, I hate duplicating threads too.. Looked in wrong spots..

Pacific rimMy son loved that movie. When I shared this he asked me if we can mod one of our Perenties to match. Should have kept my mouth shut [biggrin]
