Gday All,

I’ve done a bit of hunting around on the forum and haven’t really found a discreet way to run power for an LED light bar to be fixed to the Frontrunner platform.
I see some of you have run under the APillar then up to the light bar which reveals the cable for everyone to see.

Has anyone brought power up to the light bar from the rail gutter discreetly so you don’t see any cable work from the front?

Interested to hear how others have done this for a fixed platform arrangement.

Cheers,
Andrew

As you said... up the A pillar, then under the small portion at the leading edge and back to where you want it to be.

You will have to notch a clearance gap to allow the wires to appear from beneath though.

I've done both:
Tombie's way for my RFI antenna.
Through the grommet in the upper tail gate for a CB antenna (unit located in boot side compartment) and power for 2 lights. There's only so much cable you can run through either so choose wisely for if you plan on running an antenna up there too.
Running power from the rear was the obvious choice for me as it was already there thanks to the traxide kit with cigarette lighters to tap into with always on power from the aux battery.

If you have a Snorkel up the inside of that works well.

I've had a LED bar under the Front Runner platform on mine for quite a few years now - my wiring runs up the back of the vehicle (inside the tailgate opening) and from there, under the plastic trim strip along the left side of the roof to the rear leg of the platform. The wiring then runs along the inside of the left channel of the platform to the LED bar.

Thanks mate, that sounds like the better option but a bit more work which isn’t too much drama... [emoji106]

Sorry unrelated to the topic of your post, but can I ask what lights you have bought and have attached to your grille?

Like so. Bit if silicone to seal it back up before running this flexy conduit over the top.https://www.aulro.com/afvb/images/imported/2017/12/10.jpg
