Thought I was down on power and found both exhaust pipes under the diff have been comprised. Looking for suggestions.

I found a small impact on mine as well. For me I wouldn’t say its made any noticeable difference. Interested for what you do. You could easily have it cut out and replaced for it to be hit again next time. Add some plate to it to reinforce it somewhat is possible

Not sure how to put picture on here but mine are a bit more impacted. Probably just repair until I get home but I had hoped there was an after market bolt on if not I will tight up a stainless job with heavier wall bends around that section.

It is a dumb way to route an exhuast on a 4wd. One of those moments I suppose where the designers had a brain fart or the bean counters had their way

Squashed exhausts on D3s was the trigger for the development of my kits.

What kit are you referring to that protects that exhaust component? [emoji106]

People were getting frustrated with damaging their exhausts on reasonable outback gravel roads in several countries (eg Australia, Spain, South Africa) so various forms of raising the suspension were developed - shorter/adjustable link rods by several people, pneumatically shortened link rods and my electronic kit that modified the height sensor signals.

I have had LLAMS fitted to my D4 since new, and only looked underneath there as I was fitting the EAS hoses. My LHS exhaust is also crushed, (RHS is OK). I am unsure when or where it happened, but the exhaust is very vulnerable. I wonder why its only the LHS or do others also have RHS crushed? Looking underneath there does not look like ther is much room or alternative locations to realign the exhaust. I guess the only thing to do would be to weld a thick sleeve over that part of the exhaust, to give some added strength.

Cremorne Prestige had a plate to protect the exhaust, I looked at it a while back but never followed up.

Yes - I understood that bash plates were available to protect the exhaust under the diff - not sure where I saw them though.

Problem is Diesel exhaust is acidic and will start helping the area under there corrode..

Not saying what you have to do, just a reminder is all, that pipes must exit behind the last opening on the vehicle passenger compartment (in this case the tailgate)

Standard pipes on the Vogue don't. They are considerably forward of the tailgate.
