Hi all,
I have got my TC apart on the bench as it was getting a bit noisy.
Because I'm not real smart, I didn't order a rebuild kit from Ashcroft's that would have been cheaper and complete.
I don't have a new collapsible spacer for the intermediate gear.
I have measured the one that came out thinking I could machine up a spacer of that length, but it is not square, it ranges from 58.83 - 59.92 long.
Makes me wonder how good a preload unit this was.
Would I be better to order a new colapsible spacer or a fixed length one, but of what length?
Also is a HD cross pin needed for normal use, or do they also reduce wear on the thrust washers or have other advantages?

Make a new spacer at 59.92 set up as pic and measure float trim to size with a few thou for preload
