Any suggestions where to get a saggy hood lining fixed in Brisbane at a decent price ?

Any motor trimmer should be able to do it.
Forget trying to glue it back up - been there done that. The foam backing on the cloth breaks down so you would be wasting your time to attempt a repair.
I pulled the roof out and glued it up but it didn't last. I took it to a motor trimmer and he pulled it all out again and re-did it with new cloth for $200 - and that included refitting it.
The far superior appearance of a job properly done will soon negate any bad thoughts about the cost.
The P38A is starting to sag in a couple of spots so will need doing soon(ish).

If you pull it out / put it in yourself, try a mobile guy. Tell him it will be waiting on saw horses for him, he just has to cover 'em. Makes it a lot cheaper.

Try finding a pre 1993 Disco hoodlining - it's of a different construction and never falls down - You can scrub it and it will look like new. It needs a bit of persuasion to get it in, but looks 100%. If it gets creased, wet it with a hose, and let dry out over a few days.

while it is down, stick a heap of sunroofs in, helps stop future sagging, and increases the trucks value,

Mine needs doing as well, maybe a bulk purchase order will bring the price down. There is a guy on the coast advertises from $100 but the upper limit is not stated so I don't hold much hope of a cheap price. Works from his front driveway too.
I've heard marine upholsterers do a good job on headlinings. Only a passing comment from a friend.

It might not be a bad angle to ask a trimmer what the price would be if we directed some potential extra business his way

Could be interested in a Defender Roof Lining
Mine collapsed when the Moon Window got broken. The Insurance Asscessor would not authorise repairs as it's a common fault.
Grrrrr! Mine was fine until the accident.

Might be a bit hard for you unless you would be prepared to drive to Brisbane ?

Currumbin Trimmers on the Gold COast does a good job, someone else from this forum has gone there before. I'll try to get a price this week, as my defender desperately needs the roofliner done. Will keep you posted...

The price is getting interesting, how long would it take to get done?
Does that also include remove and refit or do we have to do that?

I'll be back on the Gold Coast 2nd week in April.
I've been meaning to get the Disco roof relined for a couple of years now. I'll be in it if anyone comes up with a good value job.
