ACE high pressure line repair

I have a ruptured ACE high pressure line. I’m stranded in Gippsland atm and the local heavy vehicle workshop is thinking to cut out the damaged section (about 25mm) and use hydraulic fittings to repair the line however they’ve not found suitable connectors yet - have any forum members had similar experience and could offer some advice ....?

Can they use the original fittings and replace the section of hose or can they just use new fittings and make up a new hose?

I don't have one here with ace at the moment but I have, in the past used 15c brass compression plumbing fittings to get someone out of a bind with trans cooler lines , so if the ace line is the same diameter they would work , you'll need to use the copper olives though, not the nylon ones they usually come with.

I nearly hit a pole and rolled my disco going around a bend when a repair let go. The rams twisted and you lose control. Very indie soiling experience. Be careful with removing any pipe from the age valve block once disturbed they can leak.

I blew one of my flex lines in the rear on my ACE in my D2 while coming down the Karanda range here in Cairns.

I took the lines to Enzed who made up some replacements by welding some JIC fittings to the end of the hard lines then made up some new flex lines. Worked a treat never had a problem again.

notice the grass on the nature strip has grown back, skids? what skids ?[bigwhistle]
