Auto Trans ZF 4HP 22 and 24

Anyone happen to know if the 4HP22 and 4HP24 auto transmissions sump pans are the same size meaning will a 4HP22 sump fit/bolt straight onto a 4HP24 please? If not, I've just made up a fitting for a trans temp sensor that I wont be able to fit to my 24.[bawl]

Bugger/Oops!

I was in the bush and received 2 pics to show what had been done - guess what, I deleted them this morning and the sump will by now be fitted.

Basically, I had a small extension section welded at the back of the sump, to which the retaining nut was welded, and the sensor screws in horizontally from the back, protecting it from damage.

Certainly sumps will swap ... fitted a 22 sump with dip stick to the 24 on my sons D2.

Only minor hassle was that I forgot replacing the D1 pan in the D2 with the original and modified D2 pan meant that I had to take out my ATF dipstick, as the D2 pan only has the filler point, not a connection for the D1 dipstick.
Oh well, will eventually come up with a solution for the best of both worlds.
