I've upgraded my 200TDi front axle to improve reliability and strength for remote area travel.
The conversion included:

converting from 10 splines to 24 spline
Maxi Drive HD half shafts and drive flanges
changing from RTC6862 CV's to early type AEU2522's
installing a Detroit Truetrac ATB limited slip diff for better strength and traction

All up the conversion cost around $AU4000.
The steering feels firmer in corners, with a stronger desire to return to centre, but nothing serious. Will get used to it.
Noticeably less driveline slop.

Shouldn't have to touch that axle for a long time now.
The front ATB is a good way to get to understand how they work. Come out of a corner with plenty of squirt in a low gear and it'll pull straight aggressively. A bit like a lot of front wheel drives. If you're coasting with little or no torque on the driveline, its just like a normal diff.
