Hi crump, basically as our club continues to see a steady number of new faces on trips etc, we have decided that all new members to our club complete a basic driver awareness program run by the club, before they can participate in any trip higher than a green grading - full trip gradings below.

http://www.aulro.com/modules.php?name=Foru...ewtopic&t=10212 (http://www.aulro.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=10212)

This is so that we as a club ensure that all our trips are run as safely as possible plus it allows all GCLRO drivers to either learn new skills or to brush up on old ones. We also cover items speicifc to GCLRO club trips such as our recovery, radio procedure etc and general information which helps us run safe and enjoyable trips. These programs are run regularly and depending on numbers, are generally held on the first sunday after our Thursday night meetings - which are the first Thursday of each month, if that all makes sense.

For more info on meetings, DAP, membership etc, check out the GCLRO section at the bottom of AULRO and feel free to direct any specific trips or training questions my way to trips@gclro.com or for general club info info@gclro.com

Hope this helps, Mick

Guys

Can those coming on this trip please confirm back to me via trips@gclro.com also check out new meet times and points for those coming from Gold Coast or Brisbane.

This should be a belter of a trip and a chance for some to properly test man and machine!!! From what I have heard, the tracks we are going to are pretty good so don't forget those cameras and cam corders!!!

Aye, Mick

There is a possibility I maybe able to go, question is what would be the go with the D3 and its current tyres I note that it says AT's as a minimum. I dont want to go G4 ( just yet) and also my older 2 kids would most likely come. Main reason being is that being a part time Dad, weekends are "our" time so obviously want to include them in as many things and as many know already they love landies and offroading/camping. So if it is a kid free weekend and I respect that, let me know. Also if I am able to come, Id have to journey down mid morning as have soccer commitments early morning. Once again if that were to be a hassle ( ie I dont want to hold the group up on my behalf) please let me know. I should know last minute ie next Friday if I can make it,

Regards
