I need to release air from one strut , do I need to undo the airline on the strut or valve block or somewhere easier ?

Gap IID can deflate the system. Presuming you don’t have access to one?

Last that I knew, the Gap tool only deflated all 4 corners which didn't suit my need.
Unscrew either the connector at the air strut or at the valve block whichever is less inconvenient until air starts leaking at a reasonable rate then wait until the flow decreases to very little before unscrewing completely.

Did it at the valve block as it was easiest to access, job done along with an oil/filter change.
