Hi All,
Absolute rookie question here. I want to carry a bottle jack and use when appropriate instead of the standard jack that comes with the d5. The bottle jack does not sit safely on the standard jack lugs and I am unsure where else to place it. See pics below. Can I use a bit of timber across the areas marked with the question mark and set the bottle jack against that?
Pic 1 one is behind the front wheel

Pic two is in front of the back wheel.

For the D4, I had an adapter for the bottle jack. Made by someone's son on this forum. I guess it might be best to do the same for the D5.

It was a 3d printed one, the thread is here (https://www.aulro.com/afvb/l319-discovery-3-and-4-a/242815-chassis-adaptor-2t-omega-bottle-jack.html?242815=#post2607942) and has a drawing what it looked like on page 1. Needless to say the D4 adaptor isn't going to fit the D5, but the thread might give you an idea how it was done,

Thanks Ron. Appreciate you going back and finding the thread and looks like a good solution. I found this off the shelf adapter which solves the problem nicely.

I put mine under the axle, but that's on a Defender, of course, so different.

Bugger! At 32mm it won't fit my bottle jack from the D3/4 days which is 40mm.

I've been wondering how I'm going to back up our new camper trailer if it ever gets a flat tyre. At this stage I can't see how any jack could work. My best guess is I'll use the stabiliser legs and the jockey wheel to try to get the flat tyre off the ground. No idea if that could work. Might need a trial run soon.

I use the Bushranger Exhaust Jack.
It works anywhere, even under a LC200 with a camper on behind on the side of a mountain swinging from the winch of my D5.

Just using the standard Defender jack.
