Jerry can nozzle

Due to the Disco 4 having that fuel filler protection system (for accidental insertion of a petrol nozzle) does this pose any issue when filling up with a jerry-can filler?

Better ask now then swear at the car when I’m out on the bush!

No issues, just don't push the filler nozzle down too far.

I did a trial before heading bush and you can inadvertently trip the lock with the can nozzle. I cut a short piece of alloy pipe (alloy broom handle), that was the perfect diameter to match a diesel filler nozzle. Only goes in so far and then is the perfect size for my can nozzles.

Yes, can fire the miss-fuel safety trigger, if you push in too far (which isn't very far ha ha)

I've refuelled from jerry's dozens of times now. I make sure there is a footrest to balance jerry on a propped leg, as its a slow process gravity feeding 20ltrs when holding a jerry, trying to keep it balanced in the right position.

It does depend on the jerry. I have the metal one with the metal spout and it doesn’t go in far enough to be an issue, but the plastic ones with the plastic flexible nozzle tend to be more of an issue. Agree with the above that it can be tiring holding the can. Not as bad as feeding 20L of water into my camper. Now that’s painfully slow and painful on the arms, but I digress.
