Hello All,

I am going to replace the clutch in my 2011 90 2.4 Puma and wanted to know if there are other jobs i should do whilst in there? She has done 110,000 k's and it would be good to try and address the backlash if possible? Also a mate mentioned replacing the bleed nipple on the slave cylinder because it snaps easily when trying to bleed, does that sound right or an old wives tale?

any thoughts appreciated.

cheers Tim

While the gearbox and t-case are on the floor

Make sure the adaptor shaft is in good nick and well lubricated
Install an Ashcroft ATB into the Tcase centre and sleeve the intermediate shaft to fix the inevitable leak

It's a Puma so it will have an inline Slave Cylinder therefore no arm to strengthen.

Hello All,

x 2 for the Ashcroft ATB.
Off topic, but if your chasing backlash, don't forget to check out the A-frame ball joint.
