Is there any difference between a V8 LT85 and a 4bd1 LT85 other than the bellhousing? Are the first motion/input shafts the same? Thanks.

There are 2 LT85 cases a split and a solid case, the solid case is much stronger than the split case. I know it doesnt answer your question but it may assist you in your quest.
