View Full Version : Strange throttle response

I don't know if I'm losing my mind or imagining this but I think I may have an odd problem with my Isuzu. A couple of times when driving and just cracking the throttle the Landy seems to slow slightly. It seems intermittent. When I push the throttle further it accelerates properly. The best way to describe the sensation is its like driving a petrol car and you loose all spark. The car is otherwise running like a charm, idles properly, etc. Has anyone else experienced this or have any suggestions ? Have I got a sticky injector ?

I reckon it’s either a fuel or air problem. [emoji1787]

Unlikely to be an injector. More like a fuel problem or maybe lack of it. Have you checked that little fine mesh strainer inside the banjo bolt on the lift pump.

There's a good thought about the mesh strainer. I had a couple of hiccups with it at the last service. I cleaned it but didn't have new washers handy so the thing leaked all over the place and let in air. I put new washers in and all was good again, if that's come a bit loose that would make sense. Cheers, I'll check it out.
