Hi all,
bit of s strange one, have a couple of issues. 2007 Sport 3.6TDV8
1. occasionally when driving up the freeway here in Adelaide or up Willunga hill basically under sustained load i get the "engine system fault" on dash car has reduced power. turn car off and on and it is back to normal. this happens more so if we haven't been for a decent drive in a while.
had the car at local land rover mechanic and he pulled the code P132B-21 - Turbo Charger Boost control A Below Minimum. they seem to think it will require the turbo being replaced as they claim that it is down on power anyway compared to what they should be, but are going to do some more diagnosis first nut aren't that hopeful of it being something else. the car doesn't seem to be down on power to me i thought it went very well, but it is my first TDV8. can given that this is very intermittent and only happens going up a hill is is likely to be a turbo? or could more likely be sensor/actuator etc? i am crossing fingers as they tell me 8-10K for turbo replacement as it is a body off job.
2. recently after lowering the car so the grandparents could get in and then raising back to normal height i got the yellow light on dash and "normal height only" message on dash. again, turning off car and on would clear this error. it gradually became more and more often until it came on every time when driving. codes pulled were C1A20-64 - Pressure increases too slow when filling reservoir. again land rover mechanic said he has never seen this error and it not be the compressor that is stuffed. they say they have checked sensors and air exhaust valves etc and reccommend changing the compressor and also the filter unit, at $2.5K.
however after clearing the codes. the air suspension fault has not come back on for 2 days now.
my questions are do these diagnoses seem normal? or could there be some other explanation. as a 10K + bill to rectify both issues has me[bawl]
thanks
