Sorry new to this site , having trouble navigating but finding my way around , in reference to my mirror switch issues someone suggested soft reset , tried but didn’t work with issues ,was mentioned needs to be done with diagnostic tool ? Is it safe to do hard reset as described in google searches I am wondering , spoke to a rover parts dealer with a discovery 3 regarding the set program on stalk to get into menu change and select with steering wheel buttons he said his didn’t work either is this a common problem or glitche thought if I set the mirrors in this menu it may help ,not sure at all

A hard reset won't hurt and can be done without any special tools, soft reset is done using a diagnostic tool.

I thought a soft reset was removing the battery terminals from the battery for a minute or two.
And i thought a hard reset was joing the battery terminals together after removing them from the battery ???

With a gap tool a soft reset just does the ECU's and you don't lose any settings, st the battery you will.

As a specialist in investigations, I have access to many specialist OSINT tools. Here is the output of one of them. It’s amazing what it can find with only the simplest search terms. [emoji2958]
