Topping up the hub with one shot grease

For the Brains trust;

Leaking hub seal. Fraser trip, no time to replace seal. Topped up leaking hub and took the whole pack,other side only took a wee bit and wouldn't take the full pack as it was full. Could I confirm that you can't overfill the hub as the filler plug is partway down the hub? Moreover , having topped till won't take more will not cause damage??

I assume you are talking about the swivel, not the hub, and the answer is - no problems.

any excess will drain back into the diff or out the leak.
