Anyone have experience with Cel-Fi Go mobile booster?
Mine is saying not receiving signal from network and has a blinking red led?
Any advice would be much appreciated!

Timely as I’m considering installing one for our upcoming trip.

What aerials do you have? We run very directional double yagis and they're very sensitive to their direction being slightly off. It may be worth also just blowing out your connections.

Have you had a look at the Wave App to see what it says?

Yes it’s saying no signal from network. One of the list of fault options in the app says register it but I did that when I first bought it. Seemed to work for a couple of months ...

It’s a GME aerial. Big black one - can’t remember model but here is a photo. Over a metre long

Mine shows a red light when the donor antenna is disconnected.

Did you fit a new connector when you ran it through? Or just use the exiting one already on the coax?

Grab a multimeter and do a test to ensure no break in the coax to antenna. Then test theres no continuity between line and ground.

Next would be check all fittings on unit.
Register again if required.

Where is your internal antenna located?

Thanks Tombie.
I used existing connector when running through (all taped up to try not to damage it). How do you test continuity on the coax? (Sorry I'm not the greatest with a multi meter!)
Won't seem to let me re-register. I did try uninstalling the app and reinstalling but still recognised unit. I'll have another look.
Internal antenna not fixed yet. Was thinking at back of centre console but would love your thoughts on that - or where you have yours?

Checked continuity of donor/external antenna and all good.
Disconnected everything and reconnected in correct order and it worked for a few seconds before it started flashing green/yellow.
Tried doing antenna position test again but still saying “no metric”.
Maybe internal antenna not working??

The internal one will have to go down low right up front... mine I behind the D/S lower panel.

Very timely for me too.
Also looking to get one of these units for my home WiFi. As our internet has been :censored: of late
Download speeds of as low as 0.06 Mbps Grrrrrr Usually about 2 Mbps still not good

Cheers Gary

Sorry if I’m stating the obvious but do you have any signal at all, without the booster??
it can only boost a signal if there is one...
cheers

I'm a new user of the Cellfi so experience is limited but I know you can use the Wave app to test if you have enough distance between the internal and external antennas. Given the GME is mounted about 2m away from the Cellfi they may be too close.

I see you have it mounted on foam rubber. They get pretty hot those units!

Another unrelated point is they draw about 12A a day, so they pull a fair amount from your battery if it's not being recharged.

Is it fixed?
