Transfer fob from one car to another??

I have a 3rd fob for my MY10, and if doable would like to cancel it and reprogram it as a spare for the MY16.
Is this doable with the GAP Tool (obviously talking about cancelling the existing MY10 "program" and starting again for the MY16)

I had previously been under the impression (from my reading of forum posts) that you couldn't program keys on the "later" discovery 4's. The attached post from a US forum (Land Rover World) was the first info that I have come across that looked promising. I would contact GAP for a definitive answer, they usually respond super fast to requests for help.

There is also this thread that seems to suggest that you can and that the key will not longer be usable in the old car (bottom of post 4)
