Hi all,
Have been charging battery with CTEK MXS10 directly to battery and have read that it can also be done through the rear 12S socket -
Charging through towing socket - DISCO3.CO.UK Knowledge Base (https://www.disco3.co.uk/wiki/Charging_through_towing_socket)
Tow electrics charger adapter for CTEK, Accumate, Optimate, SAE, NOCO etc - Futuranet Ltd - Shop (https://fnltd.co.uk/shop/charge-adapter-p45.html)
Google search comes up with Britpart DA1409 - Just a moment... (https://www.britpart.com/all-parts/da1409)
Questions - is anybody else doing this? and is this part (DA1409) available in Australia?
Many thanks in advance!

Easy enough to make up,use a 12S plug connected to terminal 3 and 4[neg and pos]on the car on the other end whatever you require Anderson/Ctek etc.

Very easy to make...
And a damn site cheaper than the Britpart solution...

Or convert the 12S to an Anderson plug.

If searching on ebay "7 pin EU trailer plug" works - you can leave off the 12S

What amp is the 12s plug power rated at? And is it a dedicated circuit?

I did the same but skipped the in-line fuse holder. I figured in the D3 there is a dedicated 15A fuse for both the switched and un-switched and I wasn't going to use a small enough in-line fuse to guarantee discrimination.

Although looking at the cable size I’d question pulling 30a

I run the charging lead from the Ctek charger out through the bottom edge of the tailgate seal and an extension lead to the power lead for the charger in through the rubber seal on the side. Both cables fit through gap between tailgate and surrounds easily and without too much compression of the seal. Charger safely inside cargo area, car locked.

Although looking at the cable size I’d question pulling 30aYeah wouldn't be using any high draw equipment on it, handy for charger or solar panel.
